Van Shuttle to the marina will get you down to the river in style. The drivers will entertain you and share some local history of the old coal mining days.
Follow Google maps to New River Jet Boats. That will take you to the Hawks Nest Parking lot.
If you are adventuress and want to drive down to the river keep in mind it's a steep gravel road and quite narrow. Be cautious and ready to pull over for oncoming traffic. Tickets are available at the Boat dock as well. Follow Google Maps to New River Jet Boats Marina.
